Mom and Dad refer to these adorable little bundles of joy as “the twinkies” and I just think that is the cutest thing! I’m betting these twins will be the biggest ones I will ever photograph! Baby girl seen below on top, is the older of the two, weighing 6:11! And her “little” brother born just a minute later weighed in at a whopping 8:6! Congratulations on your beautiful little babies, and enjoy the sneak peek!

I just finished editing this little guy’s photoshoot today, and this one photo absolutely makes me smile every time I look at it! He was SO into this photoshoot – smiling, laughing and squealing he was so excited! I just love his expression here – “Yeah baby!”

Its been awhile since I’ve featured my very adorable angel wings on the blog! They are so unbelievably tiny, yet they look quite large on this little girl don’t they?
Now..if anyone really knows me, they know I have a thing for the colour purple! (My favourite colour is actually periwinkle..but it is very rare to see something periwinkle coloured.) It was just a matter of time before I found a nice squishy soft purple blanket for the studio!

This little guy is the newest member to my family – my second cousin! Long…long ago his mommy and I used to play together at family reunions and on holidays..and now we both have little families of our own! I felt so honored to capture his first professional portraits today – Caroline and Brenden, THANK YOU so much for coming to see me. I hope you (and the rest of our family!) enjoy the sneak peek!

This little guy had so much personality at just a few days old! This first photo of mom and baby just makes me giggle! Its like he’s saying: “Hey lady – watch this – CHEESE!”
This photo just makes me say “awwww” -he’s snuggled right up to my new gray blanket! Its SO soft!

I have been dying to post my favourites from this photoshoot, there are so many!
Every once in awhile I’ll have a dream photoshoot… where the baby is soooo beautiful, and is content to snooze through all of my posing (and I am so picky about this!), and the parents are just wonderful people…and the result is a gallery of images that you just can hardly pick your favourites from – this was one of those photoshoots.
So although it was difficult – and there are certainly more…here are some of my favs…..
The first, sorry to disappoint hopeful future clients- is not the studio’s hat…it was supplied by mum & dad – I absolutely love it though, and will have to make a trip out to St. Jacobs for it!

In a couple of days this wonderful couple will be meeting their little babies! I’m so excited to photograph them, as it is a rare treat for me to photograph twins! A little more challenging…but lots of fun too!

I am constantly amazed by my tiny little clients! Never before have I photographed an AWAKE newborn giving me a great big gummy smile shown here!
This little one is also modeling some of my new and very cute knit hats!
And another favourite of mine from this photoshoot…

Any newborn photographer will tell you that a great beanbag is a MUST for getting certain poses to look awesome. I have been struggling to find such a great beanbag and at last I have finally found it! This morning it was delivered! Unfortunately…it doesn’t come with the beans in it. I had to take the contents of my 2 smaller beanbags and put it into the new one..along with another bag of beans. To do so, I had the help of 2 assistants..my 4 1/2 year old, and my 3 year old, who thought it was great fun to play in the fake snow that was now covering my studio! Oh – and did I mention that these teeny tiny little beads of styrofoam are charged with static electricity that made them stick to us? WHAT A MESS!!
