The photography gods were smiling on me yesterday. This little guy is 5 weeks old today and I really wasn’t counting on him sleeping through most of the session like a newborn – but he DID! The entire session took just over an hour, which is a personal record for me! He just slept and slept no matter what position I put him in-it was really, really great! Happy Fathers Day! I had this baby boy on my antique scale and he weighed in at 10 lbs 3oz. at 2 weeks old! What a little chunky monkey he is sooo cute and looks so much like his daddy already. A great photoshoot, and I can’t wait to show mom and dad the rest! Enjoy your sneak peek!
Oh…my….goodness! I had such a hard time picking just one image today for my blog sneak peek! I have so many favorites from this session it is unbelievable..mom and dad are going to have some very tough choices!
I ultimately chose this one, just because I wanted to show off my new basket find. I’m always on the hunt for awesome baskets and blankets and props that will photograph well, and I was excited when I found this one!

A local magazine call The Parent Guide – contacted me about a getting listed with them and submitting images for the 2010 cover! YAY!
This small magazine is given out to expecting and new moms EVERYWHERE, Obstetrician offices, general practices, midwife offices, hospital OB ward orientations, local daycares, preschools….you name it!
To be on the front cover, with a photo credit in the inside cover, and $1800 in advertising with them for the whole year — this could be HUGE for me, and really launch my photography career.
